Hi,
I'm not sure what they mean. Did you try Googling and researching for manuals or other information?

Hi Tom, I think I may have found the answer on page 16, Fig 4 of the AB5 driver manual. Nanomotion Tech Documents 7th one from the bottom; " AB5 and AB51 Driver User Manual
" . ( Can't seem to put a direct link, it saves as an *.aspx extension) It shows a single ended Analog input connection to the driver/amplifier. So the Kanalog outputs are connected as follows to the amp; (Kanalog)GND -> (AB5) Vin(-) (Kanalog) JP11 Pin1 -> (AB5) Vin(+) Note: the GND at the AB5 Driver/Amp is connected to the Vin(-) at the AB5 end. Does this make sense to you? Yes that looks correct to me.

Tom,
Great. I got confused since the Kanalog doesn't have V+/V- control
signals that I have seen on other controllers.
So it's not strictly a differential voltage output control, and it has
to be wired like this to any amp with differential inputs I would
assume?

Hi Mark,
Yes. The Kanalog DAC outputs are a +/-10V analog signal relative to its ground.

Tom, Thanks for clearing all that up. Just one more thing, the diagram I referred to has a shielded twisted cable connecting the controller and amplifier. Where can the cable shield be connected from the controller (KFLOP) side? -Mark --- In DynoMotion@yahoogroups.com, Tom Kerekes <tk@...> wrote: > > Hi Mark, > > Yes. The Kanalog DAC outputs are a +/-10V analog signal relative to its > ground. > > TK > > > > > ________________________________ > From: bb_lazar bb_lazar@... > To: DynoMotion@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Fri, May 13, 2011 7:03:24 AM > Subject: [DynoMotion] Re: KFLOP+KANALOG controlling Nanomotion > >  > Tom, > > Great. Hi Mark,
I think the best bet would be to tie the shield also to a Kanalog ground on the Kanalog end and leave the shield open at the amplifier end.
